Today’s media is inundated with the latest weight loss program, pharmaceutical miracles, anti aging formulas, new health care reform, debates on which bill will work for what, government assisted health care, single payer insurance, etc., and yet, lost in the media frenzy is the emphasis and messaging around self-care and wellness. The health care reform should come second to reforming the socially driven paradigms which support the idea that health is outside of your control. Your body's health and wellbeing should not be a political issue.
